In this very special episode, Peter sits down for a chat with cousin of the great Jim Clark, Doug Niven.
Doug was appointed a family trustee following his cousin Jim's tragic death at Hockenheim in 1968. Along with Jim's nephew, Ian Calder, Doug has worked tirelessly to preserve Jim's legacy.
In 2019, following years of fundraising and planning, the Jim Clark Motor Museum was opened. Visitors to the museum can browse Jim's vast collection of trophies and get up close to two of his own racing cars.
In this interview, Doug tells Peter all about the journey that the trust embarked on to make the museum a reality. As a close family member of such a special man, Doug has plenty of fascinating stories about Jim, which he generously shared during the chat.
Doug was a very accomplished racing driver in his own right, racing for the legendary Border Reivers team. During the chat, Doug tells a few enthralling tales of his time behind the wheel.
Given the fantastic array of stories shared by Doug, this interview is published in it's original form, without editing. Enjoy!

The museum can be booked for private visits by appointment throughout the winter and opens again to general visitors from March. It is a must visit for any motor racing fan.
